"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.

As long as you got the message, I don't think anyone should be flaming you any more. However, as *HailDawn said, you should probably put the name of the creator of your icon in your sig (mostly to stop more people getting after you).

Okay, so I see there has been some serious art theft, no? Alright, first off, just keep in mind that this is NOT photobucket, you can't steal and repost other peoples stuff on DeviantART. This is a site for people to draw pictures THEY ACTUALLY MADE THEMSELF so that you can show people what you can do. It doesnt matter if you are a bad drawer at first, we all were when we started. People will actually COMPLIMENT you if you do your own. No-one flames on this site unless yoiu are stealing art, characters, icons, photos ect ect. People will start to respect you if you draw your own stuff.
I will be watching you, just to make sure you don't steal anything else. :/
